When you don’t think you can handle what lies ahead…

I don’t know what exactly you’re up against today, but I can guess that what you face is no small challenge. That what you are dealing with is heavy and hard, and for that I’m sorry. But God meets us in the heavy and the hard. Please don’t think you have to go into whatever it is on your own power. You don’t have to muster up the strength to face the trials in front of you. You don’t have to walk through the rough terrain alone. And you don’t have to know exactly how to navigate the unknowns. The good news is that God is the source of all the strength we will ever need. There is nothing that He lacks, so when we are drawing close to Him, seeking Him, relying on Him, and trusting Him with what lies ahead, we will be given what we need. Seek the Lord and fix your eyes on Him. Draw nearer to Him than you have ever been. Search for Him and for His strength, then let Him handle the challenges. Seek Him in prayer. Seek Him in His Word. Seek Him in the quiet, and surrender the struggle to His strength. He is more than able to help you in your time of need. Rest your weary heart knowing that in the heavy, the hard, and all the hurt, you are still being held.
