Let’s take a relaxing deep breath in, followed by a long slow exhale. Remember to rest, for the next few moments, it’s just you and Jesus.

He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. -Psalm 23:2 NLT

Dear God,

I come to You today in praise of who You are and Your work in my life. You have never once left my side. As I place my hand over my heart, I humbly ask You to place Yours there as well. Calming me and comforting me with Your presence. Help me to remember when the world is fast, being with You lets me rest. Lift off the burdens that are on my heart and fill me with Your Holy Spirit who brings true and lasting peace. Only in Your arms can my mind and heart experience the calm and slow that they desire. Help me to release the rush to You as You help me to remember that You are in control. My path is secure with You and I trust Your work in my life. Help me to deepen my faith and my reliance on You to know I am under Your watchful care. There is nothing You can’t handle and I lay all my burdens at Your feet. Help me to rest in Your green meadows. Lead me beside Your peaceful streams. Father God, I pray all of this through the name of Jesus.
