Praise God…that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. 

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”-Hebrews 13:8 NLT

  It can be a hard reality to accept that the moments, stages, and phases in our lives, especially the good ones, won’t always be the same. Kids get older and move away, our bodies age with time, and loved ones pass away all too soon. When we begin to struggle with the changes happening in our lives, we can focus instead on Jesus, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. When our worlds are changing all around us, we can take comfort by locking in on our unchanging God. We can know that He will never leave because He never has; He will never change because He never has; and He will always be a constant steady rock to cling to because He always has been. The fact that He is everlasting and eternal is such a peace in this ever-changing world. When it feels like the only certainty in this life is uncertainty, let’s rest in His steadiness and rest in His consistency, which is so worthy to be praised.

  God, today we praise You that You are unchanging. We praise You that who You were in the past is the same God You are today and will be in the future. God, we praise You that when the world is filled with uncertainty and change, You are our ever-constant comfort. Through the holy and unchanging name of Jesus, we praise You.
