Praise God…that He is fighting for us.

“Do not be afraid of the nations there, for the Lord your God will fight for you.’” -Deuteronomy 3:22 NLT

  Thankfully, the battles we face were never intended to be fought all on our own. The struggles we have to deal with aren’t meant to be overcome solely by ourselves. Let’s face it, Jesus is much better at rising up against our opponents than we are. We can’t do it alone, we can’t overcome without Him on our side, and we can’t win the fight without a strong Defender with us. The good news is we don’t have to. The Lord knew from the start what we would have to face, but He also knew what it would take to win the battle; Him! We get to invite God into the struggles, into every hardship and concern. Jesus is more than able to do the fighting for us. This means that we can take a breath and let Him do what only He can do. We can call to Him in the middle of the trouble, lay it all down at His feet, listen for His voice, and trust that He will come through. We can let the Lord fight for us. This may seem much easier said than done, but when we let go and trust that He can handle it, we can experience a peace we never could have had if we chose to get by with our worn out and weary hands. Our heavenly Father is fighting for us and that is worthy of all praise.

  God, today we praise You for fighting on our behalf. We praise You that You will never be defeated. We praise You that there is no fight we could ever face that is too big for You to handle. Through the mighty name of Jesus, we praise You.
