Praise God…that He is love.

“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” -1 John 4:8 NIV

  Nowadays, the word love is used so often that it almost loses its luster. “I love those shoes!” “I love that song.” We fall in and out of love on a whim sometimes that it may just feel like mere words. Human love can be a very fickle thing, but the Bible tells us that God is love. He is the originator and source of love. And His love doesn’t change its mind, get bored, fall out, or lessen in any way. Only God’s love is truly completely pure and unchanging as opposed to what we often think of as love. He is the truest love one can have and the ultimate all-consuming and fulfilling love that we all seek. When we are looking for love we can look to Him, when we are needing to feel loved we can go to Him, and when we need to know how to love others we can see His example. He is all the love we will ever need and the only love that will never fail us. A love like His is most worthy to be praised.

  God, today we praise You that You are love. We praise You that You give us Your pure love. We praise You that nothing will ever be able to separate us from Your love. Through the loving name of Jesus, we praise You.
