Praise God…that He is forgiving.

“Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” -Ephesians 4:32 NLT

  Deep from the heart forgiveness is one of the hardest lessons that we may have to learn in life. For us as humans, it can seem impossible in certain circumstances to forgive the pains inflicted on us by others. But with the Lord, forgiveness is in His nature. God leads us to come to Him to receive the forgiveness that He is already extending. And He offers this without us needing to earn or work for it, it is already in Him, ready and willing to be placed upon us. This is the God that we get to have a relationship with, the One we get to love, the One we get to serve, and the One we get to worship. It may be hard to admit that we have messed up in one way or another and need to be forgiven, but we all do. Every single one of us has gone against God in some way, and He is not holding back from forgiving us. His forgiveness is a part of who He is, who is so worthy to be praised.

  God, today we praise You for Your forgiving heart. We praise You for forgiving all of our sins. We praise You for Your outstretched hand of love that is reaching for us all, bringing us back to You by Your forgiveness. Through the forgiving name of Jesus, we praise You.
