Praise God…that He is the God of truth.

“Into your hand I entrust my spirit; you have redeemed me, Lord, God of truth.” -Psalms 31:5 CSB

  There is no dishonesty in our heavenly Father. God will never lie to us, deceive us, mislead us, or betray us. He simply can’t, because He is the God of truth and there is nothing but truth in Him. We live in a world where the truth is bent, distorted, and individualized, but if it doesn’t line up with the perfect Word of the Lord then it’s not actually truth. Who the Lord is is true, what He speaks is truth, and anything less than this has the ability to be false. The only One that will never speak anything but the truth to us is our perfect heavenly Father. We can only assume that this is one of the reasons why the Bible instructs us not to put our hope in man, because we are all flawed and have the ability to mislead one another. But God cannot and will not ever lead His children astray. Because He is all truth, He is worthy of all our praise.

  God, today we praise You that You are the God of truth. We praise You that You can never lie to us and only speak truth. We praise You that You are the source of all truth and everything has to be held up to You to know if it’s true. Through the truthful name of Jesus, we praise You.
